Program admissions
We will begin reviewing applications as they are received with a preferred deadline of January 5, 2025.Ìý Students that submit an application prior to October 1 may be eligible for early admission.Ìý Students should apply through Rolling admissions will be conducted until the program is full.Ìý If accepted into the program, students must then apply to the .
The first two courses for the cohort graduating in May 2027 will start July 1, 2025.

NAU AT + ASU Partnership
The NAU AT Program will guarantee acceptance for five ASU of College of Health Solutions students who meet AT admission requirements and prerequisite courses. If the five student cap is met, additional students will be accepted based on standard admission procedures.
Application checklist
- You must have an undergraduate degree in order to be admitted into our MSAT program
- Completion and verification (transcript) of pre-requisite courses or their equivalents
- must be completed with a grade of “C” or better, or in progress at time of application to the program.
- Physics, Chemistry, Psychology, Biology (basic biology content), Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, Kinesiology (Biomechanics and/or Applied Human Movement also accepted), Exercise Physiology, Human Nutrition
- Minimum GPA for regular admission is 3.0 or above. ÌýGPA that fall between 2.5-2.99, may be considered for conditional admission
- Two letters of recommendation (one from a certified athletic trainer)
- application (if accepted into the program, you will be required to complete an NAU Office of Graduate and Professional Studies application)
- An interview with one or more program faculty (to be scheduled after application review)
- If accepted into the program, you must be CPR certified prior to beginning the programÌý
Upon admission, we require that you have a physical exam by a physician; show proof of immunization for hepatitis B, measles mumps, rubella, tetanus, and diphtheria; and attest that you meet the technical standards established by our program and Northern Arizona University’s Disability Support Services.

We welcome applications from international students to our MSAT program.
Please follow the same application guidelines as all other applications. ÌýSubmit an application toÌýÌýIf accepted into our program, you will then be required to complete an application through the NAU Office of Graduate and Professional Studies.
