Master of Science in Athletic Training
About our program
NAU’s Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) program prepares you to prevent, recognize, manage, and rehabilitate injuries from physical activity. Whether you want to provide rehabilitation care, emergency support, or therapeutic intervention, our national recognized faculty will prepare you for a fulfilling career as an athletic trainer (AT).
The program is offered in two locations: Phoenix and Flagstaff, and provides meaningful clinical experiences across the United States. The first year of the program offers both academics and clinical experiences in-person. The second year of the program offers academics fully online and clinical education in-person.
The NAU AT Program is uniquely positioned to support students through smaller cohorts of 20-30 students that allow for meaningful one-on-one time with faculty members. The program’s student-centered curriculum prepares students to sit for the Board of Certification (BOC) examination to become a Certified Athletic Training and boasts high pass-rates.
