The Asian Performance Club was formed in 2022 to bring unity and a sense of belonging to our WGC Asian community, and everyone is welcome to participate regardless of their cultural or ethnic background.
We have held APC Family Nights in the years since to showcase the dances our group has learned, to offer a stage to other performers at WGC and the wider community, and bring WGC wh膩nau together for an evening of amazing performances and delicious kai from various cultures! We have learned and performed traditional Cambodian dance, Chinese Lyrical Dance and Bollywood medleys at various events in the past.
In 2024, we had a fantastic Family Night held in June, where APC performed a traditional Long Drum Thai dance which was taught by our South East Asian representative and outfits were sourced with the support of the Thai Embassy. This beautiful dance was also performed by our members at the Whakanui K膩hui Ako Festival and WGC鈥檚 Prizegiving.
We are looking for new members in 2025 and are very excited for you to join our r艒p奴!
