NAU Commencement parking and directions
Attending spring 2025 graduation
Commencement is a busy time on campus, and we want your experience to run smoothly. Discover everything you need to know about how to get here and where to park.

Getting around on campus
We are excited to welcome you to Flagstaff! Nestled at 7,000 feet above sea level, Flagstaff offers breathtaking scenery, endless outdoor adventures, and a vibrant mountain-town atmosphere. We hope you are able to explore all Flagstaff has to offer while you are here for Commencement.
At this high elevation, the thinner air and lower oxygen levels can affect visitors who aren’t used to it. To stay comfortable and make the most of your visit:
- Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water to help your body adjust.
- Take it slow: Give yourself time to acclimate and take all necessary breaks.
- Watch for symptoms: Headaches, dizziness, and shortness of breath can be signs of altitude sickness. If you feel unwell, take a break, hydrate, and focus on taking deep breaths.
- Traffic controllers will be available to assist you in navigating campus; however, their primary goal is to keep traffic flowing, and they may refer you to the next traffic controller for answers to questions. We suggest you familiarize yourself with the recommended routes listed below to help assure a smooth travel experience.
We hope you enjoy your time in Flagstaff and at Commencement!
