Being a college student is an exciting time in your life. Throughout your journey you may need additional support or want to access new resources. Working with other first-generation students, we’ve put together a guide of some of the most useful programs and services on-campus. Where should you go for advice? Who should you talk to?
Academic Success Centers

Offers tutoring, supplemental instruction, academic mentoring, and workshops. Test prep courses and the Testing Center are also housed in the ASC.
Career Development

Provides career advising, workshops/guest lectures, and online career education resources. Serves as a centralized resource for student employment and internships. Oversees online and on-campus recruitment.
Counseling Services

Counseling services are tailored to the individual needs of each student. Their office offers individual and couples counseling, group counseling, crisis services, outreach, and consultation about students of concern.
Campus Materials Assistance Program (CMAP)

Students with financial need can apply to receive textbooks in the first two weeks of each semester.

Providing nonperishable food and resources to students in need.
Louie’s Leftovers

Through the NAUgo app, students can sign up to receive notifications when there is leftover food at campus events.
Office of the Dean of Students

The University Writing Commons

The University Writing Commons works with you at any stage of the writing process. Mountain campus students have access to nine University Writing Commons locations on the Flagstaff campus.
